ESTABLISHMENT OF A CENTER FOR THE GLOBAL ECONOMY

During the official inauguration of the 2021/22 academic year, the Rector of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University, Rev. Prof. Ryszard Czekalski, announced the establishment of the UKSW Center for the World Economy. In connection with this, the Rector gave an interview in which he talked about what the Center does, as well as what caused it to be established. Below are some of the Rector’s statements.

The establishment of the UKSW Center for the World Economy is another very important step in the development of our University. The Center will respond to the socio-economic challenges of the modern world and, of course, the Polish economy. How an economy and society subjected to shocks of supply and demand changes we have experienced and are experiencing in the COVID-19 pandemic. We have also seen that few scientific centers in the world have been able to apply research in economics in a timely manner, or at all, while cooperating with public institutions or entrepreneurs.

The Center for the World Economy will fully cooperate with all the University’s organizational units, depending on the research being conducted and the socio-economic problems being solved.
