prof. dr hab. Konrad Raczkowski
Director of the Centre for the World Economy UKSW
Professor of economic sciences, PhD in management of public institutions. Director of the Center for the World Economy at UKSW. Specializes in management in the economic system, public finance and informal economy and enterprise restructuring. From 2012-2021, director of the Economic Institute of the Social Academy of Sciences in Warsaw and head of the Department of Management in the Economy. From 2015-2020, member of the National Development Council to the President of Poland. He held/holds management, supervisory and advisory positions in companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the London Stock Exchange (LSE). Former Deputy Minister of Finance (2015/2016).

From 2003 to 2013 he was an employee of the Ministry of Finance. He worked with the European Anti-Fraud Office in Brussels and the Institute for Security and Development Policy in Stockholm (Visiting Fellow). He held a three-year postdoctoral fellowship in economic sciences at the Institute of Organization and Management in Industry “Orgmasz” in Warsaw (2006-2009). He is a Fellow of the Government of Sweden in the field of management (2009), a member of the State Examination Commission for Tax Consultancy (6th term), a member of the Royal Economic Society and the British Academy of Management. Since 2012, a speaker at the Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime at Cambridge University. Author of more than 120 scientific publications. Awarded the gold medal of the Minister of Justice and the gold badge of the Minister of Finance. Winner of the award of the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences “for outstanding scientific achievements in finance”.
dr Wojciech Nagel

Doctor of Economics (University of Economics in Katowice, 2001). Associated with the financial market since 1996, he worked, among others, at Bank Handlowy, KNF, KFK and IGTE. Since 2013, he has been associated with the Warsaw Stock Exchange. He currently serves as chairman of the RN of the WSE Foundation and chairman of the Chapter of the WSE President’s Award for the best scientific papers. Previously Vice Chairman of the WSE Scientific Committee (2013-16), then Compliance Officer and Chairman of the WSE Compliance Advisory Committee (2014-16). Chairman of the Exchange’s Supervisory Board (2016-18), initiator of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Exchange in the Polish Lands (2017). Distinguished with the MRPiPS honorary award “Primus in Agendo” (2015). Honorary Member of the Association of Individual Investors (2020). Member of the Advisory Board for PPKs at Polski Fundusz Rozwoju S.A. (2019), Member of the Social Security Supervisory Board and the Social Insurance Team of the RDS (2015).
Prof. Yochanan Shachmurove

Professor of Economics and Business at City College and Graduate Center at the City University of New York. He worked with the Harvard Institute for International Development, advising the government of Ukraine on macroeconomic policy, including energy and natural resources issues. He was guest editor of three special issues of the International Journal of Business, two of which were on Middle East financial markets, and one of which he co-edited with Nobel Laureate Professor Lawrence Klein on BRIC (the economies of Brazil, Russia, India and China), and was guest editor of two issues of the Journal of Entrepreneurial Finance and Business Ventures. He is editor of Proceedings of the Academy of Entrepreneurial Finance, 2002, and has served on the scientific advisory boards of several academic journals.

Professor Shachmurove has taught at leading institutions of higher learning on five continents: Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Europe and Australia. University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University, Temple University, Indiana University – Indianapolis, University of Minnesota, National University of Kyiv – Mogilian Academy, Ukraine; Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine, New School of Economics, Russia; Moscow State University, Russia, Warsaw University, Poland, Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing, P. R. China, Pokhara University, Nepal, and Bar Ilan and Tel Aviv Universities in Israel. He received four Fulbright Senior Fellow awards in Shanghai, China in 2004, Lodz, Poland in 2003-2004, Warsaw, Poland in 2010-2011, and Kyiv, Ukraine in 2014.

Professor Shachmurove has published many articles in the fields of economics, finance and management, including more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and more than 110 articles accepted for presentation at professional meetings around the world, traveling to many countries. His articles are published in journals such as Kyklos, Public Choice, The Manchester Journal, Review of International Economics, Review of Development Economics, The World Economy, Journal of Policy Modeling, Journal of Economic Modelling, International Trade Journal, The Journal of Energy and Development, Energy Economics, Comparative Economic Studies, Justice Quarterly, Papers in Regional Science, Journal of Economic and Social Measurement, Applied Economics, Global Finance Journal, Applied Financial Economics, Journal of Futures Markets, The Journal of Derivatives, North American Journal of Economics and Finance, International Journal of Manpower and International Migration.

Professor Shachmurove has received grants from the Kauffman Foundation (several grants), the U.S. Department of State, the Institute for Research on International Education (several grants), the Eurasia Foundation, Ukraine, Russia and the U.S., among others. University of Pennsylvania, Institute for Economic Research, University of Pennsylvania, Center for Analytic Research in Economics and the Social Sciences, The New Economic School, Moscow Russia, The Kasierer Institute for Research in Accounting, the Israeli Institute of Accounting Research, The European University Institute, Indiana Department of Commerce, and the Hudson Institute. Dr. Shachmurove has received four Fulbright awards.

Professor Shachmurove’s main research interests include applied econometrics (including automatic vector regression, automatic Bayes vector regression, emulation neural networks, nonlinear deterministic systems and chaos), international economics, industrial organization, entrepreneurial finance, advanced futures and options.

dr Bartosz Stachowiak

Holds a PhD in economics from the College of Management and Finance at the Warsaw School of Economics. Practitioner of economic life in the area of telecommunications, telefinformatics, alternative fuels, extraction and distribution of natural gas and electronergeneration. Academically, he deals with issues of innovation and business innovation, issues of business location choice, application of alternative fuels (in particular CNG, LNG and hydrogen) in transportation and distributed energy, closed loop economy and energy and economic security of the state.
dr inż. Piotr Komorowski
Deputy Director of CGŚ
Economist, financier, doctor of economic sciences in the discipline of economics, engineer. Deputy director of the Center for World Economy at UKSW, assistant professor at the Institute of Economics and Finance in the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at UKSW. He received his education at the Gdansk University of Technology, Fachhochschule Stralsund, Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Rouen and the Warsaw School of Economics. He gained professional experience mainly in banking institutions in the UK and Germany.

His main areas of scientific interest are related to the topics of global financial markets, banking and corporate finance. Author and scientific editor of dozens of scientific publications. Manager, practitioner and member of many project teams.
dr hab. Anna Dziurny

Interests: economic security, economic forecasting, quantitative methods, modeling and logistics. Uses an interdisciplinary approach in the above-mentioned fields.
dr Dariusz Filip

Assistant Professor at the Department of Finance of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences of UKSW in Warsaw, PhD in economic sciences, specialization: finance. Lectured subjects: “Portfolio analysis”, ‘Financial analysis’, ‘Bank reporting’, ‘Financial accounting’. The area of his scientific interests is focused on the evaluation of the efficiency of asset allocation of financial institutions. He is the author of numerous publications in Polish as well as foreign journals, including Finance a úvěr-Czech Journal of Economics and Finance, Baltic Journal of Economics, Prague Economic Papers, Financial Assets and Investing. For his monograph entitled. “Determinants of asset allocation effects of investment funds in Poland. Attributes of Funds and Characteristics of Managers” (C.H.Beck Publishing House) nominated for the Beta 2022 Award for Outstanding Achievement in Financial Management. In the past, an expert witness in the field of finance.
dr Dariusz Prokopowicz

PhD in economics, since 2015 assistant professor at the Institute of Economics and Finance at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw. Since May 2016, Chairman of the Program Council, Head of the Department of Innovation at the International Institute of Innovation in Warsaw Science – Education – Development in Warsaw. Since October 2022 Vice President and Congregation of Industry and Commerce of the All-Poland Chamber of Commerce. From October 2018 to December 2020, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Polskie Centra Handlowo Usługowe S.A.. He worked in financial institutions, including, among others, in commercial banking in the credit department.

His extensive academic achievements include co-authorship of 3 academic textbooks, co-authorship of 3 monographs, authorship and co-authorship of more than 200 scientific articles and chapters of monographs, including dozens of high-scoring articles. Citations of scientific publications of Dr. Dariusz Prokopowicz: more than 400 citations in publications of other authors, including dozens of citations in scientific publications published by researchers and scientists functioning abroad. In 2022, he received the Award of the Rector of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw for special achievements in scientific activities.
