DIRECTOR OF THE CENTER FOR THE WORLD ECONOMY, PROF. DR HAB. KONRAD RACZKOWSKI PRO-RECTOR OF UKSW FOR FINANCE. FINANCIAL

On October 11, 2022, the Director of the UKSW Center for the World Economy, Prof. Konrad Raczkowski, PhD, was officially appointed to the position of Vice-Chancellor for Finance.

Konrad Raczkowski is a professor of economics, PhD in the management of public institutions, and director of the Center for World Economy at UKSW. He specializes in management in the economic system, public finance and the informal economy and corporate restructuring.

From 2012-2021 he was director of the Economic Institute of the Social Academy of Sciences in Warsaw and head of the Department of Management in the Economy. From 2015-2020, he was a member of the National Development Council to the President of Poland. He has held management, supervisory and advisory positions in companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

Prof. Konrad Raczkowski was an employee of the Ministry of Finance from 2003 to 2013, and Deputy Minister of Finance from 2015 to 2016. He worked with the European Anti-Fraud Office in Brussels and the Institute for Security and Development Policy in Stockholm (Visiting Fellow). He is a member of the Royal Economic Society and the British Academy of Management, among others.

In 2012 he became a speaker at the Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime at Cambridge University. He is the author of more than 120 scientific publications. Awarded the gold medal of the Minister of Justice and the gold badge of the Minister of Finance. Winner of the award of the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences “for outstanding scientific achievements in the field of finance”.
