PROFESSOR KONRAD RACZKOWSKI FOR TRADE NEWS: PRICES ARE ALSO INCREASED BY THOSE WHO DON’T HAVE TO

Director of the Center for the World Economy, prof. Ph.D. Konrad Raczkowski gave an interview to the portal Wiadomości Handlowa, in which he said, among others: about greedflation, the impact of 800+ on the retail industry and whether the government will impose new taxes on retailers to finance election promises.

Let us remember that the idea of introducing the 500+ program was to increase the fertility rate and reduce the poverty level. We know that we have not solved the problem of low fertility with this tool, but poverty, especially extreme poverty, has been completely eliminated or significantly reduced.

Expenditures on food, i.e. basic food products, are the main item in the budget of an average family, to which more and more expenses related to the use of the apartment and the costs of energy carriers are added. Less remunerated, i.e. poorer households, which receive approximately 42 percent. funds from the 500+ program, maybe he will overpay his debts and will certainly increase the level of his own financial security. Average-income households will have a choice and a slightly increased ability to make decisions regarding the allocation of these funds. In turn, the best-paid households will not feel this valorization, just as they did not feel the introduction of the 500+ program.
