Average annual CPI inflation in 2022 is predicted at 7.6%, which at the same time means that the price dynamics of sold production in the short term could exceed 10%.

Due to such a high level of inflation, further increases in interest rates are also expected, which would bring the reference rate to 3%. Gas and electricity prices will also rise. From the point of view of businesses, gas increases mean an increase of 176% in annual contracts and 580% in quarterly contracts. For households, gas heating will be 58% more expensive, while electricity prices will increase by 24%. The annual aid included in the anti-inflation shield will be able to cover just one month of additional increases in the cost of gas heating bills.

The Polish Deal, which is coming into effect, will also have an inflationary impact by fueling a price-wage spiral. Entrepreneurs will not only be burdened with additional taxes, but also will not be able to deduct health premiums from their PIT.

The entire article with Prof. Raczkowski can be read at: https://wgospodarce.pl/opinie/105775-jaki-bedzie-inflacyjnie-gospodarczy-najblizszy-rok-2022

In December, the Director of the Center for World Economy at UKSW, Prof. Konrad Raczkowski, made a forecast on the wgospodarka.pl portal regarding the inflation situation in Poland in 2022.
